Internship Overview
As a Ruminant Feed Sales Intern at New-Life Mills, you will gain valuable experience in the sales and marketing of ruminant feed products. This internship offers an opportunity to learn about customer relationship management, sales strategies, and product promotion within the ruminant nutrition industry.Location: Cambridge, ON
Term: May 5, 2025 – August 29, 2025
Compensation: This internship is a paid position.
Your Day to Day
- Assist the sales team in identifying and contacting prospective customers in the dairy and beef cattle sectors.
- Learn to conduct market research and analysis to understand customer needs and industry trends.
- Support the development and implementation of sales campaigns, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and animal nutritionists to prepare presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations for clients.
- Assist in maintaining customer databases, sales records, and CRM systems.
What You’ll Learn
- Gain practical experience in sales techniques and strategies specific to ruminant nutrition and agriculture.
- Learn about ruminant nutrition requirements and the benefits of different feed products.
- Develop skills in customer relationship management, negotiation, and problem-solving.
- Receive mentorship from experienced sales professionals and exposure to a dynamic sales environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Marketing, or a related field.
- Interest in ruminant nutrition, agriculture, and sales.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
- Full-time availability for a 4-month term, May – Aug 2025
