This state-of-the-art terminal is a joint venture between Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) and GrainsConnect Canada Operations Inc. (GrainsConnect).

As General Labourer, you will carry out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of Fraser Grain Terminal (FGT).

The General Labourer will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading
  • Assisting with any issues with daily operations as needed
  • Regular facility maintenance and housekeeping
  • Committing to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
  • Reporting on any issues or concerns to the Operations Supervisor
  • Conducting facility cleaning on a scheduled basis and as directed by the Operations Supervisor
  • Completing any duties assigned by the Operations Supervisor

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Excellent communications skills with experience using remote radios
  • Basic computer operating skills or ability to learn
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
  • Experience with terminal operation within agricultural industry would be an asset
  • Flexible to work in and support a 24/7 operational environment
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended period, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50lbs
