Your Role
The Export Documentation Coordinator is a member of the 3-person team responsible for the execution all export documents pertaining to our bulk vessel program out of the Port of Vancouver.Day to Day
- Prepare, review, and dispatch export documentation in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and banking requirements; liaise with buyers on document instructions and amendments
- Arrange sampling, inspections, and certification with inspection / laboratory providers
- Issue commercial invoices to buyers and review vendor invoices, identifying and allocating applicable costs for customer chargeback
- Liaise with banks on document presentation under letters of credit; ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Provide timely updates to internal teams, including cash/treasury, on payment status and expected value dates
Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience in export documentation with a preference for agriculture or bulk commodities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Post-secondary education in areas such as logistics, agriculture, business administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Work experience with letters of credit may be considered
- High level of communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time managements skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical skills to proactively identify issues and provide viable solutions to problems
- Ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work flexible working hours with a strong work ethic to be motivated and reliable
