Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a 2nd Miller for our Milling division based in Springbrook, AB.This role is anticipated to start in July 2026 following the completion of construction at the flour mill.

P&H is the largest Canadian-owned milling company. The P&H Milling Group sources wheat from Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic Canada to produce quality flour and cereal products. The lineup includes hard red spring wheat flour for breads and other bakery products, soft winter wheat flour for cakes and cookies, as well as semolina flour for pasta, organic flour, and atta flour for chappati. In our specialty milling operation in Saskatoon, we also mill pea fractions.From its mills in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Acton, Hanover, Hamilton and Cambridge, Ontario; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan; and Lethbridge, Alberta, the P&H Milling Group supplies flour to customers throughout Canada, the United States, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Iceland, and Pacific Rim countries.

Your Role
Reporting to Shift Supervisor, the 2nd Miller is responsible for transferring bulk loads, loading bulk flour tankers and assisting with the daily operations of the mill.Day to Day
- Prepare and load flour tankers to ship to customers
- Transfer and blend flour meeting specified recipe requirements
- Coordinate with Logistics Manager and truck drivers to organize and prepare daily outgoing orders
- Work effectively in a food processing environment with high standards for production quality
- Ensure good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness critical control point and Company policies and procedures are followed
- Participate during heat treatment, cleaning, sifter and sieve maintenance.
- Perform daily tasks, checks and monitoring according to guidelines set out by the Mill Manager
- Complete work orders for mill shutdowns, monthly inspection items, corrective action reports requirements and scheduled tasks
- Complete required inspection reports and work orders
- Cleaning duties as required, shared with millers daily cleaning schedule
- Assist with mill audits and inspections
Required Qualifications
This role is anticipated to start in July 2026 following the completion of construction at the flour mill.- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Able to work in areas with flour dust, noise, vibration, and changing temperatures, and following all PPE requirements.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is considered an asset.
- Food Safety experience and knowledge is considered an asset.
