The P&H Grain Division is a comprehensive grain and crop input network, operating across approximately 45 locations in the prairie provinces, Ontario and Quebec. Our strategically positioned facilities, including grain elevators, rail sidings, inland terminals, and specialized export terminals, ensure that we effectively match producer grain with the needs of both domestic and export end users. Your Role
As a Terminal Manager, you will be responsible for leading the smooth operations of all terminal activities at our new facility in Picton, Ontario.Day to Day
- Responsible for providing overall direction and leadership for the terminal
- Manage the business development and customer service operations of the terminal
- Oversee the logistics scheduling process within a multi-modal transportation operation
- Develop the annual operating budget and manage monthly revenue and operating expenses
- Participate in and ensure safe and efficient operation of the terminal
- Understand the quality programs and regulatory requirements associated with the terminal operations and ensure compliance is maintained
- Maintain seamless integration with other departments within P&H
- Provide coaching employees and support the development of a strong, cooperative workforce
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the grain industry
- Experience in grain inventory management practices and processes
- Previous experience in a role with financial or budgetary responsibilities
- Proven experience leading and managing employees
- Experience in the marine shipping industry or marine-based grain operations considered an asset
- Proven problem-solving abilities with a track record of identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
