Your Role
As the Production Operator (Swing Person), the successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing high quality finished feed products according to customer requirements and providing support to all operations within the feed mill.
Day to Day
- Mixing feed and producing feed pellets.
- Shipping and receiving including operating computerized batching system and pellet processing equipment.
- Loading and unloading trucks, including operation of a forklift.
- Reading digital readouts with extreme accuracy and maintain and file records.
- Following quality control practices and procedures and participating in audit processes as required.
- Performing daily with a Safety-first mindset and abiding by all safety rules and company policies, completion of all required safety training and reporting all deviations to procedures, including feed safety and quality related issues to mill management in a timely manner.
- General housekeeping duties throughout the facility including cleaning the bin deck and basement, sweeping, or shoveling load out and receiving bays, sweeping stairwell and common areas.
- Must be able to perform other related duties including following HACCP and GMP regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Experience working in a feed mill or agricultural related business would be considered an asset.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts that include days/afternoons and nights.
- Physically fit to lift and handle 25-40 kg in a safe manner.
